You don’t have to wait until Election Day to vote this fall. All New Yorkers have the option to vote early in-person, by mail, or on November 3rd.
Early Voting
All registered voters can vote early this fall! Polls will be open October 24th-November 1st. Your Early Voting site may be different from your Election Day poll site, so make sure to check before you go.
Voting by Mail
All registered voters can vote by mail by requesting an absentee ballot. The deadline is October 27th, but we recommend requesting your ballot now. You can mark the reason as “Temporary illness or disability,” which includes the risk of contracting the coronavirus. After you complete your ballot, make sure to sign, date, and seal your absentee ballot envelope.
or if you've already requested a ballot and have not received it in the mail:
Election Day
As always, registered voters can vote in-person on Election Day. We expect high turnout, so lines may be long at some poll sites. If you’re worried about crowds, we recommend voting early.
